Since beginning a makeup routine with Root's products a couple months ago, I have found this will be one of my essential products. I love my pretty booster+ foundation, but I like the matte, soft look the application of the setting silk offers. Additionally, I had seen someone comment about it helping their hairline not become greasy, and it really does help with that too! I do not reapply makeup during the day-it is too big a hassle and I don't have the time or patience for that. I have found my makeup lasts through light activity morning to evening pretty well with this product, and it feels weightless. My intentionality when applying my routine (pretty booster+ and setting silk) is to acheive that airbrushed, natural look, and this product delivers the perfect soft but not dry appearance. I have combo skin-if I am particularly dry in a certain area on my face, I will apply the product lighter as I have noted I notice dry spots because the powder can highlight them some, but that is I think due to application on my end and not quality of the product itself.

I will note, as a glasses wearer, the bridge of my nose does tend to smear through the day. I think it would be far worse without the setting silk, and a quick pat with my finger tends to blend it right back.
