Joining the Pretty Points Program

WHAT ARE PRETTY POINTS?
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for trusting & believing in Root! Our Pretty Points program is our way to give back to you for being a loyal customer. Those points can then be redeemed for a discount code to be used on future purchases of Root products. Pretty Points are earned for purchases made in store & online. Please make sure you are logged in to your Pretty Points account before ordering as we are unable to go back & add points for any past purchases. Referral Pretty Points are given to you when a first time customer orders $30+ through your specific referral link (found in the Pretty Points portal under the "Refer Friends" tab).

Anyone can join Pretty Points! Check out the Pretty Points portal located in the bottom right of our website.

Earning Pretty Points

HOW DO I EARN POINTS?
Make sure you are logged in to your Pretty Points account before placing your order. If checking out through PayPal or Amazon, first login to your account on our website, then checkout with any payment option as usual. You can earn points for every $1 spent at Root on any Root products online & in store & by referring friends, following us on social media & more! To see all the ways you can earn points, click the "Earn Points" tab in the Pretty Points portal.
IS THERE A LIMIT TO THE NUMBER OF POINTS I CAN EARN?
Nope. Go ahead & earn as many as you can!
HOW DO I GET POINTS FOR REFERRING FRIENDS?
Share your unique referral link with new customers & earn 1,000 Pretty Points when they place an online order of $30+ (after any discounts & before shipping). They must shop directly through your referral link for you to earn referral points. Referral points are only given on first-time purchases by a new customer. To find your unique referral link, head to the Pretty Points portal & click on "Refer Friends".
CAN I EARN POINTS FOR REFERRING FRIENDS IF THEY SHOP IN STORE?
Yes! When the new customer you refer shops in store, they will need to share your name & the email you use for your Pretty Points account with our Beauty Assistant at checkout. After the new customer purchases in store & provides your information, our team will manually add 1,000 referral points to your account within 5 business days. The new customer must spend $30+ in order for you to be eligible to earn Pretty Points for the referral.
CAN I RECEIVE POINTS ON PREVIOUS PURCHASES & LOYALTY ACTIVITY?
We are unable to give points on past purchases. Make sure that you are logged in to your Pretty Points account before purchasing.

Using Your Pretty Points

HOW DO I REDEEM MY POINTS?
In the Pretty Points portal, select the tab "Redeem Points". Here you will see all of the rewards we offer. If you have enough points, you can redeem them for a reward.
CAN I COMBINE PRETTY POINTS ACCOUNTS OR TRANSFER POINTS?
We cannot combine Pretty Points accounts. Please use the same account each time you check out. Points are not transferable.
DO PRETTY POINTS EXPIRE?
Pretty Points do not expire, but should we ever discontinue our Pretty Points program, any remaining points will no longer be available.
WHAT PRODUCTS CAN I REDEEM PRETTY POINTS ON?
You can redeem Pretty Points on any Root products (anything made by Root)! You may not use Pretty Points on products not made by Root including Vera Mona, Z-Palettes & diffusers. Pretty Points may not be used on Pretty Club subscription boxes as well.
DO CLAIMED DISCOUNT CODES EXPIRE?
Claimed Pretty Point discount codes expire in 10 years. Make sure to copy your voucher code & use that at checkout in the discount code box.
CAN I COMBINE PRETTY POINT DISCOUNT WITH OTHER DISCOUNT CODES OR SPECIAL OFFERS?
Only 1 discount code is valid per order. It cannot be combined with other codes.

Understanding Your Pretty Points Account

WHAT DO THE 'APPROVED', 'PENDING' & 'CANCELLED' STATUSES MEAN?
Approved: These points can be redeemed on rewards immediately.
Pending: These points need to be verified before you can redeem them. This typically applies to purchases & referrals. There is a 14-day pending period on points earned through purchases.
Cancelled: These points will not be added to your account & happen when you cancel a purchase.
WHY DID MY ACCOUNT BALANCE GO DOWN?
You, or someone you referred, cancelled or returned a purchase.
WHAT HAPPENS IF A FRIEND I REFER CANCELS OR RETURNS THEIR ORDER?
Your pending points will become cancelled & will be removed from your account.
I COMPLETED AN ACTIVITY, BUT I DIDN'T EARN ANY POINTS!
It can sometimes take a few minutes for us to process your activity & provide your points.
CAN I USE MY POINTS DURING CHECKOUT?
Not directly - please redeem your points through the Pretty Points portal to receive your discount code which can then be applied during checkout.
HOW DO I VIEW MY POINT BALANCE?
Log in to the Pretty Points portal found on the bottom right of our website. Your point balance is found at the top left-hand side of the Pretty Points portal.

Understanding Our Loyalty Tiers

HOW ARE THE LOYALTY TIERS DETERMINED & HOW LONG ARE YOU IN A TIER?
Our loyalty tiers are based on spend within the past year. For our PINK tier, customers must only have a registered Pretty Points account. For our SILVER tier, customers must have a registered account & have spent at least $250 in the past year. For our GOLD tier, customers must have a registered account & have spent at least $750 in the past year. For our BOSS tier, customers must have a registered account & have spent at least $2,000 in the past year. Once you hit a tier, you will remain in that tier for 12 months or until you've spent a qualifying amount within the past year to move you up to the next tier.
HOW DO I KNOW WHICH LOYALTY TIER I'M IN?
Log in to the Pretty Points portal found on the bottom right of our website. Your tier level is located in the upper left-hand corner of the Pretty Points portal, right below your point balance.
HOW WILL I GET EARLY ACCESS TO SALES OR NEW PRODUCTS?
We will send an early access email for any sales or new products to anyone who qualifies. The date of each early access offer may vary per sale or product launch. Not every sale or product launch may have early access opportunities.
HOW & WHEN DO I REDEEM MY BIRTHDAY OFFER?
First, make sure you've added your email on your account! Log in to your account on our website. On your account page, scroll down to the bottom, & you'll find a submission form to add your email & birthday into our system. It is possible you have been subscribed to our emails but have never added your birthday. We love to celebrate, so we'll send you an email on the day of your birthday with a unique birthday offer!
HOW DO I GET TO PARTICIPATE IN UNRELEASED PRODUCT TESTING?
When we have an opportunity for our GOLD & BOSS tier customers to test unreleased products, they will be notified via email.
I'M IN BOSS TIER. WHAT ARE THE EXCLUSIVE GIFTS?
First of all - THANK YOU for all of your support. We would not be able to do what we do if it were not for our incredible customers! We're excited to offer exclusive gifts to this select BOSS tier of customers. When we have an opportunity for our BOSS tier customers to receive exclusive gifts, they will be notified via email... & maybe even surprised in a random order!

Leaving the Pretty Points Program

HOW DO I LEAVE THE PROGRAM?
If you no longer wish to earn points, please contact us & ask to be un-enrolled. We'll un-enroll you, & you will lose any points you have accrued.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I LEAVE & DECIDE TO JOIN AGAIN?
Just contact us, & we'll re-enroll you. However, your point total will begin from zero.
