U.S. SHIPPING - FLAT RATE OR FREE ON ORDERS ABOVE $75
- $4.95 Flat Rate for Naked Shipping: Includes Free Sample & does not include reusable Root bag.
- $5.95 Flat Rate for Gift Shipping via USPS: Includes Free Sample & is shipped in a reusable cloth Root bag.
- $6.95 Flat Rate for Naked Shipping of any bulk hair & body products via USPS: Includes Free Sample & does not include reusable cloth Root bag.
- We offer FREE U.S. NAKED SHIPPING for orders $75. Your subtotal of $75 must be after any discounts have been applied to be eligible for free U.S. shipping. Free U.S. shipping does not apply towards the purchase of gift cards with the combination of products - it must be $75 of product.
HOW FAST DOES MY ORDER SHIP?We pride ourselves on shipping out orders as fast as possible. Typically, orders placed will ship out the same day. During sales and special offers, orders can take up to 5 business days to ship. We do offer expedited shipping payment options as well.
DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?Yes, we ship worldwide. We currently offer international shipping through USPS & DHL. Carrier shipping charges are calculated in your shopping cart. Shipping prices vary by country. We advise you to see if you might have any duty charges prior to ordering. We are not responsible for these import fees.
SALESOrders placed during sales & free product giveaways may take longer to ship. Products purchased on sale are FINAL SALE.
IN STORE PICKUPSIn Store Pick up is now available online! Please note, you must wait until we send you an email or text notification that your order is ready for pickup. During major sales, In Store Pickup orders may take up to a week to fulfill. For detailed information, please go to our In Store Pick Up FAQ Page. The In Store Pickup option will only show if you have an Iowa shipping address at checkout, if you are outside of Iowa & want to pick up in store, you may use Root's address as your shipping address (100 E Bremer Ave - Waverly, Iowa 50667) for the In Store Pickup option to show. Orders not picked up within 14 days will be cancelled.
LOST AND STOLEN ORDERSOnce we transfer Root orders into our shippers care they are responsible for delivering your order. For lost or physically damaged orders please contact your local USPS. We will make every effort to help track & find lost orders (which is extremely rare), however we are unable to track better than USPS. Once orders show as delivered we are not responsible for lost or stolen packages.
COMBINING ORDERS FOR SHIPPINGWe are unable to combine multiple orders.
ADDING/CHANGING/CANCELING YOUR ORDERYour order begins processing as soon as we receive it! Please call us AS SOON AS POSSIBLE at 319-290-5746, Monday-Friday between 9am-4pm CST. We will only be able to process adding to orders, order changes or canceling orders by telephone.
ACCEPTED RETURN ITEMSWe can only accept returns on unopened & unused products, they must be in their original shrink wrapping or their seal must not have been tampered with. Some products do not contain a shrink band or tamper proof label, in order to return these items we will need to inspect these products and be 100% confident that the product has not been used. Because we do not allow for open & used products to be returned, we offer (almost) ALL of our products in trial or sample size.
PLACING A RETURNShould you want to return any part of your online order please contact us within 14 days of your original order date. For a return authorization, email us with your name, order # & return reason to email@example.com. All returns must be received to us no later than 30 days after original order date. Upon inspection of products, Root will issue your return to your original payment form (or Root gift card) within 3 business days. We do not pay for return shipping & are not responsible for lost returns (it is always best to track & insure your returns). Returns making your original total purchase price less than $75 (for free shipping) will be refunded less $5 for original shipping charge or issue you a Root gift card. We do not accept returns on opened products, please note that while we do our very best to display colors & products accurately screens may display colors differently. Samples are available for purchase.
ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED AS RETURNSWe do not accept returns on the following items: Brushes, Partial Pretty Kits, Sample Sizes, and Trial Sizes. EXCHANGESWe do not exchange opened products for different colors. Please purchase sample sizes first to find your perfect color matches for our Pretty Booster & Pearl Powder Foundation. If your product is still in the original shrink wrap you will be able to return it within 30 days of original purchase date. See return details above.
DAMAGED PRODUCTSWithin 3 business days of receiving any damaged products please email us with photos at firstname.lastname@example.org. We are not responsible for products reported damaged after this amount of time. Without this window of notice we are unable to open a claim with our shippers. *We pride ourselves in the quality of products we make. As we hand make, package, label, shrink wrap & ship our products we would never allow for a product to leave our hands in a damaged condition.*
ALLERGIC REACTIONSEven though our products are made with purely natural & organic ingredients - just like people are allergic to plants - it is possible your body might not agree with an ingredient. In this extremely rare event, discontinue use & please contact us within 72 hours at email@example.com.
Buy Now, Pay Later Payment Options | Afterpay & Four
WHAT IS BUY NOW, PAY LATER?Both Afterpay & Four are payment method services that allow our customers to make purchases now & then pay for them in four installments every two weeks without interest.
HOW DO I USE AFTERPAY OR FOUR?Shop our website www.rootpretty.com & check out as usual. At checkout, if your items are eligible, you will see a payment method for Afterpay or Four. Once you've selected one of the above payment methods & submitted your shipping information, you will be directed to either the Afterpay or Four checkout portal to provide payment details & setup an account. Simply complete your order - it's that easy!
*Afterpay & Four can only be used on purchases made online at www.rootpretty.com & cannot be used on purchases made in store.

CAN I USE BUY NOW, PAY LATER PAYMENT METHODS IF I AM AN INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMER?Afterpay requires that you reside in the United States. Please refer to afterpay.com for more information. However, Four is offered in 40+ countries outside of the U.S. If Four is available in your country, it will be shown as an additional payment method at checkout. If Four is not available in your country, the payment method will not show at checkout. Please refer to paywithfour.com for additional information.
WHAT PRODUCTS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR BUY NOW, PAY LATER PAYMENT?Afterpay is available for all purchases, not including subscription products or e-gift cards. Four is available as a payment method on all purchases greater than $15, not including any subscription products or e-gift cards. If your order contains any of these items, you will need to place a separate order.
HOW DOES THE PAYMENT SCHEDULE WORK?Both Afterpay & Four customers make their first payment of the four payments at time of purchase. The three remaining payments are automatically deducted from your payment method every two weeks. You can log in to both your Afterpay or Four account anytime to view your payment schedule or pay early.
WHAT IF I CAN'T PAY AN INSTALLMENT?If funds are not available or you do not make your payment when it is due, late fees may apply.
