I hope you all had an amazing holiday with your families. I am kicking off a new monthly email newsletter that you will also be able to find on The Pretty Blog. This newsletter will be a simple note from me with what's going on at Root in the next month or two. Do you have a fun idea of what we should call this monthly newsletter/note from me? First & foremost:
You may have received my 2026 New Year email & I wanted to briefly share more about an important shift at Root.
Over the past few years, my relationship with Jesus has transformed every part of my life. For a long time, I tried to keep my faith separate from Root while still quietly running the company with Christian values. I was always afraid of making anyone uncomfortable. Root has always been a reflection of my heart & I’ve realized I can’t separate who I am from the business I steward. I wrestled with the thought about whether or not Root & beauty was what I should be doing, knowing it's such a toxic & superficial world. After lots of prayer & seeking guidance, I know that Root is exactly what God has me doing on this earth.
So moving forward, Root will openly operate as a Christian company. This isn’t about forcing beliefs or excluding anyone. I also know many people have had very different experiences with religion & I want to acknowledge that with care. Root is still a place of love, welcome, respect & kindness for everyone. What this does mean is that everything we do will continue to be grounded in integrity, compassion, honesty, purpose & genuine care, & I will unapologetically give God the glory for the blessings in this business. My goal for Root is to bless as many people as we can with the blessing of this company. I really appreciate all of the sweet messages & encouragement I received after that email & I am happy to talk more about this with anyone.

Company Updates
Pricing: Beginning January 12, a few of our products will increase by $1–$2. Many of these products have never had a price change in all 12 years of Root. While we’ve absorbed rising costs for as long as possible, this adjustment is necessary to keep Root healthy, sustainable & able to continue creating high-quality, clean beauty you can trust. Affordability will always remain a core value & we will continue pricing as honestly & fairly as we can.
Model Search: Our 2026 Model Search will be kicking off very, very soon (next week). We are switching it up & looking for three women to represent Root for the next six months. We will be spoiling you with Root products & cash in return for creating some fun content for us each month. Watch our social media for more info. I'll email you too!

While I know it's only a number & I am so grateful for another year of life it's still a little bit of a shocker, ha ha.
