U.S. Shipping:

FREE for orders $75 & above
Flat Rate $5 Shipping & Handling for orders under $75
Free shipping does not apply towards the purchase of gift cards with the combination of products - it must be $75 of product.

UPS Ground/2nd Day/Next Day Shipping:
While we make our very best effort to ship orders the same or next business day, sometimes products are in production. There are still processing times up to 5 business days for all UPS shipping services. Should we not have everything ready for your UPS 2nd Day or Next Day order we will call or email you. If all products are in ready to ship, UPS 2nd Day & Next Day orders placed before 11 a.m. CST will ship the same business day. Orders placed after 11 a.m. CST will ship the next business day.

International Shipping:
FREE for orders $150 & above
$10-$20 Shipping & Handling for orders under $150
We ship world wide! If your country is not offered at checkout please send us a message ( & we will get it added for you if shipping to your country is available. Shipping prices vary by country.
We advise you to see if you might have any duty charges prior to ordering. We are not responsible for these import fees.

How fast will my order ship?
Our goal is to ship your orders as fast as possible! Orders typically ship within 1 business day, but may take up to 5 business days when a product needs to be made for your order. Upon shipping, tracking will be sent to the e-mail you had received your order confirmation.


  • Orders placed during sales & free product giveaways may take up to 10 business days to ship.
  • Products purchased on sale are FINAL SALE.

If an item is pre-ordered please allow 3-5 business days for shipping once your pre-ordered product becomes available. Any in stock products ordered with a pre-ordered item will ship when your full order is complete. Please place separate orders if you need products quicker.

We will do our very best to combine any orders going to the same customer & address. In some situations we are unable to combine orders. When we combine any orders we will automatically refund $2.50 of your multiple shipping & handling charge(s), $2.50 will be charged as a handling fee. Once shipped (together) you will see a refund from us. We cannot guarantee that your orders will ship together. Please note, only 1 discount is valid per order, we will not issue refunds for shipping on orders that we combine that contain multiple discounts or sale items.

If your order has not yet processed you may pick up your order in store if all of your products for your order are ready. $2.50 of your shipping charge will be refunded once picked up. You may also place your order over the phone. Once your order is ready we will email you.

Your order begins processing as soon as we receive it. Please call us AS SOON AS POSSIBLE at 319-290-5746, Monday-Friday between 9am-4pm CST. We will only be able to process adding to orders, order changes or canceling orders by telephone.

We can only accept returns on unopened & unused products
, they must be in their original shrink wrapping or their seal must not have been tampered with. Some products do not contain a shrink band or tamper proof label, in order to return these items we will need to inspect these products and be 100% confident that the product has not been used. Because we do not allow for open & used products to be returned, we offer (almost) ALL of our products in trial or sample size.

Should you want to return any part of your online order please contact us within 14 days of your original order date.

All returns must be received to us no later than 30 days after original order date. Upon inspection of products, Root will issue your return to your original payment form (or Root gift card) within 3 business days.

We do not pay for return shipping & are not responsible for lost returns (it is always best to track & insure your returns).
Returns making your original total purchase price less than $75 or $150 (for free shipping) will be refunded less $5 for original shipping charge or issue you a Root gift card.

We do not accept returns on opened products, please note that while we do our very best to display colors & products accurately screens may display colors differently. Samples are available for purchase.

We do not exchange opened products for different colors. Please purchase sample sizes first to find your perfect color matches for our Pretty Booster & Pearl Powder Foundation. If your product is still in the original shrink wrap you will be able to return it within 30 days of original purchase date. See return details above.

Within 3 business days of receiving any damaged products please email us with photos at We are not responsible for products reported damaged after this amount of time. Without this window of notice we are unable to open a claim with our shippers. *We pride ourselves in the quality of products we make. As we handmake, package, label, shrink wrap & ship our products we would never allow for a product to leave our hands in a damaged condition.*

Once we transfer Root orders into our shippers care they are responsible for delivering your order. For lost or physically damaged orders please contact your local USPS. We will make every effort to help track & find lost orders (which is extremely rare), however we are unable to track better than USPS. Once orders show as delivered we are not responsible for lost or stolen packages.

Even though our products are made with purely natural & organic ingredients - just like people are allergic to plants - it is possible your body might not agree with an ingredient. In this extremely rare event, discontinue use & please contact us within 72 hours at

Our Pretty Points is a free rewards program brought to you by Root. Points are not guaranteed, should we need to discontinue this loyalty program. Standard points per $1 spent is 4, during double points days points are 8 for every $1 spent.
