How to: 2 Steps to Natural Brows

by Kayla Reusche on May 28, 2020

By this point, you’ve probably seen all different types of brows from super bold to super natural or somewhere in between. Brows are one step we always recommend doing because they truly make such a difference & help frame the face. Luckily, our brow products can help you achieve whatever look you desire! Our favorite method is to naturally enhance what you already have. To see Krista’s tips for natural brows, watch our latest YouTube video below or keep on reading!

Brow Pomade vs. Brow Powder - What’s the Difference?

We offer two types of brow products - our brow pomade & our brow powder. Based off of what look you're trying to achieve, you can choose one or the other or use them both at the same time.

Brow Pomade

Our brow pomade has a creamy texture that helps tame your brows & hold them in place. It has a bit of a glossy look to it, making your brows look healthy & natural. If you have fuller eyebrows or just want a super subtle look, our pomade will be a great choice for you.

The creamy texture of our brow pomade also makes it a great eyeliner. If you’re a die-hard pencil eyeliner fanatic, you will love using our brow pomade as an eyeliner!

Brow Powder

Our brow powder closely resembles our pressed eyeshadows in texture. With a  slightly different formula, our brow powder is more smudge-proof to keep your brows in place all day long. If your main desire is to build up the color of your brows or if you're looking for a matte brow product, then our brow powder will be perfect for you. It is super pigmented, so a little goes a long way! Since the texture is so similar to our pressed eyeshadows, you will love our brow powder as an eyeshadow or eyeliner, too.

While our two brow products are pretty different, you can use them together to create the most flawless brow. By building up the pigment with our brow powder & taming the brows with our brow pomade, you get the best of both worlds.

Finding Your Perfect Shade

Our brow pomade comes in three different shades (deep brown, ash brown & dirty blonde), & our brow powder comes in five different shades (jet, deep brown, ash brown, golden brown & blonde). To find your perfect shade, we recommend matching to your natural brow color. Some people even prefer going up a shade & making their brows appear darker than they really are.

Don’t forget, we also offer sample sizes so you can see if a color is right for you before committing to the full size. For help finding your perfect shade, check out our options here or send us an email at

Krista’s Method to Natural Brows

Krista’s preferred method to natural brows is to use BOTH our brow pomade & brow powder. But first, you need the perfect tool. Our #8 Angled Brow & Liner Brush is the best tool to pair with our brow products as it has a super thin angle, allowing you to be precise with where you put the product.

Krista prefers to start with the brow pomade first & fill in her entire brow - especially the sparse areas. You’ll want to use short, simple strokes to mimic your natural brow hairs. Always focus on the middle & end of your brow first - outlining your brow as you go - as that is where you will want the most product. When you don’t have much product left on your brush, move to the front of your brow & continue with short, precise movements.

Once you’ve defined your brows with the pomade, it’s time to move on to the brow powder. Using the brow pomade first will give the brow powder something to hold on to. Continue with those same hair-like strokes as you fill in your brows with the brow powder, focusing on filling in the sparse areas first.

And it's as simple as that! With just two products, you'll be on your way to natural brows in no time. But wait... now you're probably wondering where to store your pan products?
